The challenge

The operating problem behind the project

SEE Pro needed to turn a broad catalog of sewing and embroidery supplies into a clear digital sales channel while preserving the operational detail behind products, pricing, quantities, warehouses and offers. Customer commerce and internal order and inventory workflows also needed to operate as one system instead of disconnected tools.

The solution

How we designed the system

We developed an integrated commerce platform combining a responsive customer storefront, a centralized management dashboard and custom backend services. Customers can browse categories, products and offers, manage their carts and accounts and follow orders. The team can manage products, attributes, prices, inventory, warehouses, customers, permissions, orders, reports and notifications from one operational environment.

  • Customer accounts, shopping cart and order management
  • Inventory, warehouse, inbound and outbound operations

Published implementation facts

Context
SEE Pro needed to transform a broad sewing and embroidery supplies catalog into a digital sales channel connected directly to its internal operations. Product discovery, categories, offers, customer accounts, and ordering had to operate alongside pricing, stock, warehouses, sales windows, employees, and reporting in one system.
Intended users
SEE Pro customers purchasing sewing and embroidery supplies, including individuals, businesses, and workshops, together with the company’s sales, customer-service, catalog, inventory, warehouse, employee-management, operations, and reporting teams.
Constraints
Support a broad catalog with detailed product attributes, prices, and quantities; maintain inventory consistency across warehouses, sales windows, and the storefront; apply offers and discounts correctly to orders; secure customer and employee accounts through separate roles and permissions; provide a responsive Arabic RTL experience; and deliver operational updates without separating commerce from administration.
The Drix contribution
The Drix delivered the platform end to end: the Nuxt and Vue customer storefront, the Vue and Vuetify management dashboard, ASP.NET Core backend services, the data model, and PostgreSQL persistence. The scope covered catalog browsing, search and filtering, offers, carts, accounts, orders, inventory, warehouses, sales windows, roles, permissions, operational reports, exports, real-time notifications, and background processing.
Launch status
Live and publicly accessible at seepro-company.com, with the storefront and platform services in operation.
Qualitative outcome
The platform brings digital sales, product information, orders, inventory, warehouses, employee access, and operational reporting into one connected environment. Customers receive a unified browsing and ordering journey, while SEE Pro’s team has a central operational view instead of managing storefront and back-office workflows through disconnected tools.

How we build projects

How the project was delivered

The platform uses two clients connected to shared APIs: a Nuxt and Vue customer storefront and a Vue and Vuetify operational dashboard. The ASP.NET Core backend is separated into domain, application, infrastructure, persistence, background-task, and real-time communication layers. Entity Framework Core and PostgreSQL manage persistent data; ASP.NET Identity and JWT handle authentication and authorization; Redis supports caching; RabbitMQ carries integration events; SignalR delivers real-time updates; and Quartz coordinates scheduled jobs. Reporting services generate operational PDF and Excel outputs.

  1. 1

    Commerce and inventory domain modeling

A unified model was designed to connect products, categories, attributes, prices, and offers with inventory, warehouses, sales windows, and orders.

  2. 2

    Shared backend and API development

ASP.NET Core services, APIs, and PostgreSQL persistence were developed as the shared operational layer between the customer storefront and management dashboard.

  3. 3

    E-commerce storefront development

The customer experience was built for product and category browsing, offers, search and filtering, accounts, carts, ordering, and order-status tracking.

  4. 4

    Inventory and operations management

An operational dashboard was developed for products, pricing, inventory, warehouses, customers, orders, employees, roles, permissions, and reporting.

  5. 5

    Real-time operations and reporting

SignalR updates, background and scheduled processing, and operational reporting were integrated, including PDF and Excel export capabilities.
