The challenge

The operating problem behind the project

Reverse osmosis membrane products require more than a basic name and image. Customers and system integrators need accurate engineering data covering permeate flow, salt rejection, polymer type, active membrane area, pressure, chlorine, temperature, pH, TDS and SDI limits, test conditions, and dimensions. CONT also needed to maintain products, services, categories, and homepage media in Arabic and English without rebuilding the website for every update.

The solution

How we designed the system

An integrated system was built around a responsive React website connected to .NET 9 APIs and a separate administration dashboard for content, users, roles, and permissions. Visitors can browse reverse osmosis membranes by category, search the product catalog, review detailed technical profiles, and explore services with their benefits and applications. Administrators can manage categories, products, images, specifications, services, and homepage slides in Arabic and English from one central source.

Key outcomes

A clearer product for users and operations

  • Dynamic catalog for residential, commercial, and industrial RO membranes
  • Product pages with detailed performance, operating, testing, and dimensional data

Published implementation facts

Context
CONT needed a digital platform that could present its reverse osmosis membrane brand and products at the level of technical detail required by water-treatment professionals. A conventional name-and-image catalog was insufficient because product selection depends on performance, membrane construction, active area, operating limits, test conditions, and dimensions, together with related services and water-treatment applications.
Intended users
Water-treatment engineers, system designers and consultants, reverse osmosis installation and operations companies, distributors, traders, and procurement teams, residential, commercial, and industrial organizations evaluating membrane products, and CONT content, administration, and sales teams.
Constraints
The platform had to represent a broad set of engineering specifications in a structured and maintainable format while preserving the accuracy of values, units, operating limits, and test conditions for each product. It also had to manage products, images, categories, services, and homepage content in Arabic and English, maintain consistent RTL behavior, enforce granular administrative permissions, and provide responsive search, filtering, and pagination without requiring code changes for routine content updates.
The Drix contribution
The Drix engineered and developed the complete digital platform: the responsive public website, backend and APIs, the specialized engineering-specification data model, content-management dashboard, user, role, and permission management, and the connection of products, services, categories, images, and homepage slides to one bilingual source. The work also included public content pages, search and filtering, contact flows, and the SEO foundation for product and service pages.
Launch status
Live through its public website, including the bilingual product and service catalog, backend, and administration dashboard for content, users, roles, and permissions, with ongoing product, specification, and content updates.
Qualitative outcome
The platform turns the CONT catalog into a structured digital reference that connects each product to its performance, operating, testing, and dimensional data instead of relying on a general marketing description. Visitors can access technical information and services more clearly, while the CONT team can maintain Arabic and English content, products, images, and services from one dashboard without rebuilding the website for routine updates.

How we build projects

How the project was delivered

The backend uses ASP.NET Core and .NET 9 with separate domain, application, persistence, and infrastructure layers. Its product model separates performance data, membrane type information, application limits, test conditions, and dimensions into structured sections. The React and Vite public website consumes Website APIs, while the Vue and Vuetify dashboard uses protected administrative APIs for content and permission management. PostgreSQL provides the centralized bilingual data store, with Redis, background processing, and SignalR available in the operational architecture.

  1. 1

    Engineering specification data modeling

A specialized data model was created to separate membrane performance, membrane type, operating limits, test conditions, and dimensions so each product can represent its technical specifications in a structured form.

  2. 2

    Backend and content-management development

A backend and API layer with a centralized data store was developed together with an administration dashboard for products, categories, services, images, and homepage content.

  3. 3

    Bilingual catalog and service experience

The public website was developed to browse membranes by category, search and filter the catalog, inspect technical product profiles, and explore services and applications in Arabic and English with RTL support.

  4. 4

    Permissions, administration, and publication readiness

User, role, and permission management was added to protect administration, while products and services were connected to a centralized source that supports continuous content updates without routine code changes.
